The New Chapter Begins
As we join the FBD Hotels & Resorts family
A new chapter in our story here at Killashee has begun. The 1st of April 2022 marks the hotel’s official joining of the FBD Hotels & Resorts family. Killashee has become the sixth hotel in the FBD Hotels & Resorts portfolio of luxury four-star properties. Killashee joins The Heritage Hotel & Spa in Laois, Castleknock Hotel in Dublin, Faithlegg in Waterford, La Cala and Sunset Beach on the Costa del Sol in Spain, as part of one of Ireland’s leading hotel groups.
As a well-established leisure, corporate and wedding destination, we at Killashee, are very excited to turn the page to start this new chapter, to start writing the next pages to fill our continuing truly magnificent story. This chapter will have the excitement of a committed investment of €1.1 million over the next three months with a total investment of €5 million by 2024. What a story it will be!
The immediate plans for the hotel include the refurbishment of the reception and entrance porch areas, The Terrace restaurant and The Bistro, which will have clearly defined restaurant and bar areas. The Graydon Wing and its 70 bedrooms will be upgraded with new furnishings, televisions and Nespresso machines, contemporary luxuries with classic design, as part of this first phase.
