Celebrate Emma’s 41st Birthday with Butterfly Afternoon Tea at Killashee Hotel in Support of Debra Ireland
Killashee Hotel continues its heartfelt support for Debra Ireland with a special Butterfly Afternoon Tea, marking Emma Fogarty’s 41st birthday. Emma, a well-known Patient Ambassador for Debra and an Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) survivor, inspired the creation of the Butterfly Garden on the hotel grounds—a tranquil space opened in 2012 for those affected by this rare, painful skin condition.
To honour this incredible milestone, Killashee is donating €2 to Debra Ireland for every Afternoon Tea served throughout July and August 2025. Guests can enjoy a thoughtfully curated menu of sweet and savoury delights, along with a selection of teas and coffees (menu available on request).
After indulging in the Butterfly Afternoon Tea, visitors are encouraged to explore Emma’s Butterfly Garden, a symbol of peace, resilience, and hope for the EB community.
Emma’s story is extraordinary. Most people born with her severe form of EB do not live past the age of 35, yet Emma continues to defy the odds at 41. As an advocate and public speaker, her mission is to improve the lives of everyone with “butterfly skin” in Ireland—helping them live longer, more fulfilled lives.
You can be part of her journey. By enjoying Afternoon Tea or making a donation, you’re directly supporting vital EB care and research through Debra Ireland.
